Voice of the Acre® Coverage Expanded to Include Idaho and Wyoming, Encompassing 41% of the Continental U.S.

Sacramento, CA – March 22, 2024 – Athena Intelligence, a pioneer in prefire wildfire risk assessment, continues to revolutionize the industry by expanding the area covered by its conditional, geospatial profiling tool, Voice of the Acre®. Following its recent expansion to Texas and New Mexico, Athena Intelligence now introduces fully fingerprinted wildfire risk data for Idaho and Wyoming, for the year 2024.‍

Building upon its commitment to delivering comprehensive and timely information, Athena Intelligence's latest update incorporates data from all wildfires in the bioregion between 2018 and 2023. By fingerprinting wildfire risk for 11 states, Athena has achieved a milestone and extended the reach of Voice of the Acre® to encompass more than 40% of the continental land mass of the United States.  This provides invaluable insights into wildfire risk for decision-makers and risk optimizers across various sectors.  Athena’s profiling now includes every structure, address, census block, census track, city, county, and zip code in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

With the inclusion of Idaho and Wyoming, Athena Intelligence further solidifies its position as a leader in wildfire risk assessment. The platform's ability to analyze historical wildfire data and predict future risks, taking into account how conditions have changed, empowers industries such as utilities, insurance, and financial services to make informed decisions and mitigate potential losses.

"We are thrilled to announce the addition of Idaho and Wyoming to our offerings," said David Sypnieski, CEO of Athena Intelligence. "Expanding our coverage area, with our Voice of the Acre®, underscores Athena Intelligence's ongoing dedication to providing actionable insights to our clients. We are equipping communities with the tools they need for a useful Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP).  Similarly, utilities can use the insights from the Athena profiles in their Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP) to proactively reduce risk and operate more efficiently on higher risk days.”

Athena Intelligence's ongoing dedication to advancing wildfire risk assessment and providing actionable insights to its clients. The platform's scalability and adaptability make it a valuable resource for decision-makers seeking comprehensive and up-to-date risk information in the face of increasing wildfire activity.

While ignition events may occur anywhere, the focus for utilities and municipalities is on predicting the locations of large, consequential fires. A property profile, within the broader landscape risk, offers more insightful information than the details confined within property lines. This contextual understanding empowers Athena's municipal, insurance and utility customers, enabling them to make well-informed decisions based on regional risk patterns.
